About Karen Rose
Living in the heart of Asheville's vibrant music scene, I followed in my mother's footsteps as a musician. I began studying violin at the age of four and have been passionate about it ever since. My extensive training with renowned instructors in New Orleans and Baton Rouge led to a career as a section violinist with the Baton Rouge Symphony and substitute with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
I have had the privilege of performing with luminaries like Natalie Cole, Stevie Wonder, and Harry Connick Jr., thanks to my membership in the American Federation of Musicians. I am the founder of A Touch of Rose Music, where I serve as violinist, arranger, and contractor. My love for all genres of music and my dedication to creating memorable experiences for my clients shine through in every performance.

We are a collective of highly qualified local musicians in the Asheville area, specializing in string ensembles for weddings in Asheville, Weaverville, and surrounding areas. Our musicians are skilled at reading and playing any music from notes with perfection. I have the expertise to coordinate and bring together a team of exceptionally talented musicians to elevate your wedding ceremony into a spectacular and memorable experience for you and your guests. We expand our team to include additional musicians for string quartet performances.

Humble Beginning
My journey as a classically trained violinist has taken me to incredible stages, from performing for the US President to playing alongside renowned conductors. Yet, it was the intimate joy of weddings that truly captured my heart. Witnessing couples embark on their new lives, their love stories unfolding to the backdrop of beautiful music, ignited a passion within me. I wanted to be a part of crafting those precious moments, adding a touch of magic to each celebration.
It started with a single violin and a desire to create something special for couples on their big day. Witnessing their joy as they walked down the aisle, surrounded by the music they loved, filled my heart with a purpose beyond the concert hall. Soon, requests for larger ensembles poured in. Couples wanted harpists, cellists, even the occasional bagpiper! It was clear: their love stories deserved a soundtrack as unique and beautiful as they were.
That's when I knew it was time to build a team. Today, we're a group of passionate musicians, hand-picked for their talent and dedication. We don't just play notes, we create moments that last a lifetime.
